What each source provides
- Wikidata (CC0) — coordinates, areas and population statements with observation dates for every provincial and district-level unit, plus the merger graph linking each dissolved province to its successor.
- OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL 1.0) — administrative boundaries matched by ISO 3166-2 code, the map frames on every page, and the points of interest that seed sight pages.
- General Statistics Office of Vietnam — the producer of Vietnam's national statistics. Read through the World Bank's republication, because the GSO's own site does not respond to this server; the producer is named on each figure regardless of the channel.
- World Bank Open Data — the channel for the national series, and the producer of some of them. Series identifiers are stored with every figure.
- News publishers — headlines and short summaries only, always linking out to the publisher. No article text is reproduced.
